I’m on the “most visited” list!

The wedding chat board that I spend way too much of my time on has photo albums where all the brides can share photos of DIY projects, their engagement party, hair and makeup trials, their first home, professional photos from their wedding day, etc. Today I was looking at the list of the most visited photo albums of this week and TWO of mine are on the list! Night in working on favors

Tonight Pete and I had fun sitting together working on assembling the favors. It’s a multi-step process, so we only got through about a third of them. I had printed, cut and hole punched tags that I wrapped around the favor with raffia. Then Peter assembled them in the bag with the other part of the favor. (more…)

DIY Cake topper

Today I made our cake topper. I started with two ceramic cake toppers that were all white and I got out my sewing machine and little accessories that I had purchased and put together a one of a kind cake topper! It’s so cute and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.

Trip to Michael’s

We also went to Michael’s (craft store) today to get some ideas for flower arrangements and other decor. Maria had some great suggestions there too. I had originally planned to make a treasure chest instead of having a money bag. I liked the idea of a treasure chest for the “treasure,” but Maria pointed out that it’s a little pirate-y, which is true. (more…)
